Biotium CF Dyes

I was contacted by the Biotium team about creating an animated video to promote their CF Dyes. Biotium supplied the script to the aniamtion, I then worked closely with their team to understand the science and technology behind their unique fluorescent dyes.

A key challange was the vast variety of information we needed to visually present, 2D graphs, 3D protein molecules, complex cells, visible and invisible light. So to create a visually interesting and cohesive animation, I pitched that we stage all the elements and information in an otherworldy gallery. This 3D space is purposefully dark to allow the fluorescent dyes to really standout, with each dye accurately coloured to it's unique wavelength. The result is a scientifically accurate, yet interesting and cohesive aesthetic to hold the viewers attention.
